#dmtips If you want to mess with your players, introduce what I call the horse curse! A player of your choice has a 30% chance that if they open a door, there's a horse inside! All perception checks, magical or otherwise, come up as inconclusive. To get a real kick out of it, have it be the same horse each time! Or even have a lower chance of them getting two horses! Go wild.
