It's so tempting to use these bladed whipvines as like.. hive defense. problem with that is, theyd cover the lab and turn me into a fine Violet Mist the second I stepped out the airlock.

Oh yes. They fascinate me as an ecologist, but as an aquatic plant, they are responsible for a not inconsiderable amount of deaths for Imperial shipwreck salvage teams throughout history. You know, the types of violets to go searching for their ancestors treasure in an ancient ship on the seabed. These things climb and coil up shipwrecks, and they look unassuming. That is, until something gets too close, and the movement of the water causes them to unload like a tightly coiled spring and, best case scenario, give severe lacerations with their sharp leaves. When there's a huge colony of them, one going off starts a chain reaction, and before you know it, every living thing within a 50 meter radius has become soup.

I think it's not worth it at some point. I saw some rowdy pubescent playing a came of cluckbeast with one once. Stupid brats. I screamed at em and drove em off. Waste of a good plant..
i mean if it growws so fast you could probably find a wway to cut it awway until its under control then let it groww back once youvve raided the tomb
Oh certainly. One or two is easy if you're careful and have protective gear. Set off just one in an entire thicket though...
