There's too many swarms of crabs in some of the temperate oceans consuming all the plantlife, so I needed to introduce a predator. The Vacuous Sandsucker is what I've chosen to introduce to the habitat. A very low metabolism creature with a low reproduction drive, they burrow into the sand, leaving only a single eye uncovered, and wait. A perfect solution to the crabs, as they can lie in wait for days, and when food approaches the ground-dwelling algae or seaweed, it spends a bunch of energy all at once to consume dozens within the space of just a couple seconds. This does mean I'll need to watch my step. These goofballs aren't a major threat to me, really, but they can probably fit like, 3/4ths of my body in their mouth alone with ease and that would just kinda ruin my day.
