sometimes you'll watch a speedrun of a game and the timer on the side will be in english and the game will be in german and you just have to go "this is the way things are"
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time speedruns are usually in Japanese. It really fucks with my brain.

See, I feel like usually speedruns of older games like that are in japanese and thats wellknown because its been that way for so long. theres less text boxes and stuff... but with newer games it brings up questions like, "is it somehow faster to be german or is the player german?" and then you're stuck wondering what the first option entails and How it could be faster. and you check the description and thats in english so you dont know if it's the latter and the player is just presenting englishly for the audience of a western gaming scene.
