yes i love classical orchestral yes i love the nasty stinky drums of a smooth jazzy track yes i love the regal elegant sound of a beautiful piano-heavy piece but i think the hyperpop nightcore girlies and the abstractly obnoxious solo album dudes also make good music. not to mention the shitposting nonbinary people. and everyone else who's making music that wouldn't ever in a million years be played on the radio. They've all got style! They've got unconventional rhythms and experimental harmonies! I know that that sort of stuff isnt exactly new either. People have been fucking around with synths and making nonsense music forever. Temporary Secretary is an example. People have heard the music in grinding machinery since their species learned how to make pulleys and use stones to make mush out of notmush. But like. idk!!! I just wanna make a post saying things. Oh no a chittr user is chitting about things. Blah Blah. I feel like theres genres that some people glaze over because the labels defining them are either too new or havent been invented yet. And sometimes theres genres that people write off because "Eww thats for Kids who dont know jack shit about music". I forget what my point was actually. Don't be mean to music! Even genres you dont like have good songs in them! The only exception to my praise of music is AI generated music. I don't mean like, if Junior wrote a song it would be bad. You know what I mean. Junior if you wanna write a song I would love to listen to it. I'm not gonna listen to some tech bro's attempt at making 5 cents of ad revenue though. Go Away, Generative AI Music. Raaah okay big casey post quota is met i think. im gonna go listen to some bullshit ♡

Hmmmmm... I can give you like everything at once so i can type a lot. Forgive me for it. I am talking more about ska than the other stuff. For what you asked for in Ska? I think its the usual suspects. Reel Big Fish is beloved in my heart for a reason. What's that one track they do. Sell Out? I think so. Yaaay. Playdough! by the Aquabats is a really fun track. the chorus feels waltzy sometimes. Actually a lot of the Aquabats is good. Listen to more Aquabats. YOU KNOW WHO ELSE DOES FUN SKA? The Skunks. I'm thinking about Sorry and Swing out Skasper. Sorry hassss i think a harmonica in it? I'm pretty sure its a harmonica. SUCH a fun instrument to include in a track. Very funny to me to imagine someone playing it. But I do looove swing. It's gotta be one of my favorite things. Listen to some Skunks too. for Fun Music, There's Manian's Loco. I also listen to a lot of DJ S3RL, liiike the tracks Let Go, Endless Summer, i think the other one im thinking of it Catchit. But for slower music, a loooot of They Might Be Giants. I Love You (for psychological reasons) is a really good track. Birdhouse In Your Soul is a classic. Don't Let's Start, also very good. Completely offtrack, I've had Livin La Vida Loca on loop. dont remember who did that one. I've also been listening to Black Eyed Peas's Pump It.

* i don't think i've met anyone here who types as much as you about things that they are genuinely passionate about. that's like. soooo cool!!!!! * listening to that first specific recommendation rn. sell out by reel big fish. kinda crazy how much i actually love this kind of music for how much i feel like i dont listen to ska! i guess part of the reason why is because my lusus used to listen to some older ska music..? i dunno, the feel and style of this feels so familiar is all! really really good music already btw, i love it! thx for the recommendations <3 * also, livin la vida loca on loop is amazing. gotta try that one day i feel

Once I really get going on a topic, I can type for a long time! I usually get too deep into what I'm saying and lose track of it, though. Language is a very useful tool, but a very unwieldy one!! Ska is a very fun time!! I think everything I said Ska-wise would be considered Third-Wave Ska. There's much, much more in the world than just those three band examples. If you like that sort of sound, you might also like Pop Punk? It's kinda different but its fuuuuuun. I'm thinking about Blink 182 in particular. Are they pop punk? I think so. Its not like anyone's gonna get mad if I get that slightly wrong. MEMORIES ARE A HUGE PART OF STUFF TOOOOO I totally understand! I think it's wonderful to share something with your Lusus like music :)
