Yes, Of course it does. Just make sure it's the correct color for the side of the house you paint it on. Assuming you're going for Dave-Strider Red, Put it on the south side of the house.

If you're creating a mural to really boost up the Feng Shui of the house, which is clearly what the intent is, then depending on what is on the other side of the wall you can do a few things. If there's a Kitchen or Bathroom on the other side (Water Element) then that weakens the power of your Red Paint (Fire Element). To boost the power of the red, you'd want to use Wood Colors, like Greens. If there's a livingroom on the other side of the wall, Then painting too much red could really offset the balance due to livingrooms apparently also being Fire. In that case, you'd want to use Earth or Water Colors (brown and blue/black respectively). Although, Too much Water colors could completely destroy the Fire's benefits. I do have a handy chart I could link that'd show you some of the colors for different sides of the house, also?
