I believe the term you're looking for is 'deranged', not gay. One would have to be a lot more 'frustrated' over it for it to be classified as gay. Case in point, I once knew a jadeblood who was like that over another ceruleanblood I knew- I believe a human referred to said jadeblood once as a 'yandere'.
Oh I already know he's deranged, but I'm pretty confident he's in the closet and I need second opinions.

Woah, bit far. I just want to antagonise him into giving up the impersonation bit, I don't think either of those outcomes are anywhere near feasible.
Never underestimate the fires of obsession... but if that's the case, targeting the sexuality is not the place to go. Instead target the things he likes deeply- more fundamental things specifically to his character. You say the right thing, and he will shatter like rime when struck with a hammer.
It seems childish, but under the circumstances... it may work.
