That sounds painful. And, yes, that... Does sound like they're fairly sensitive. Perhaps speak with a professional of horn piercing and see what they think before making any decisions. If you can find one that won't report you. That's always the difficult part, isn't it...

Generally, if others in a similar situation to you say they're safe, they likely are. But be careful, of course.

If they're in the same situation you're in, they're already in danger. And they likely will make it very clear very quickly whether they're willing to help you or want you to leave them alone.
