// Question
I'm also a system/fictive and I've been curious about this for a while because it's not something I could do
Why roleplay your source? Genuine curiosity
// it can be fun and can also be some kind of an outlet, also heard it can be useful if you want to source-seprate probably to understand that youre not playing 1:1 for yourself for example. im sure every fictive feels different about it though
((there's several of us in our system who are also OC introjects of some of the muses we have on here, such as knytte, kerzet, valkyn, takker, blizan, and probably akravi at this point LMAO. though in our case, we treat it less as "this is a self insert and i am larping" and more "im playing toys with an OC version of 'myself' for fun and for flavor."
the OCs came first and then our brain decided "hey im gonna print your blorbo now"
we try to keep a HEAVY degree of separation of ooc and ic between alters and their sources. probably because we personally dislike the idea of playing a true self-insert. so we still treat the source counterparts as just Characters and not "im larping as myself on a website"
same goes for the canon character fictives. we have a karkat and a dave and while their RP counterparts are based on them, they are Not like, carbon copies or whateva. though they dont front often enough for it to be like. an issue or w/e
i hope that makes sense it is 3am and i am half awake LOL
