Huzzah! That's exactly the case! A man wanted to frame his lover for his death, so he'd taken his knife, froze it in an ice block, fell back onto it, and let the room's heat melt away the evidence. Luckily, his lover had an alibi, but the coppers were still pretty determined to put him away regardless, until I pointed out the puddle of water that extended out past the blood. Case closed!
