In all seriousness, the best safety measure if meeting someone you met online is to meet up somewhere very public and busy. The more people around, the better. And if they insist on otherwise, I’d be at least a little wary. Same thing for if they insist on leaving. That, and tell someone you know/trust where you’re going and who you’re going with. Or just bring them with you. Just don’t jump straight *to* meeting someone you met online irl, probably.
I’m mostly joking. That alone isn’t enough to tell if someone is or isn’t a safe person to be around, but it’s fun to poke fun.
