This is a story about a soldier! It's a bit of a short one, sorry! He was new. He knew how to fight, of course he did. He trained for it, you see. He was placed on the battlefield first. Cannon fodder. And oh, how he adored it! He carved through the enemy. Danced a whirlwind of blood (ew..), so many colours! Slash! There went one. Stab! There goes another! He turned, and his blades took off a head. How wonderful! He dropped, and rolled and they fired and he? He isn't hit. Not yet. He grabs their leg and pulls them to the ground. He is a violent, angry thing, and they are under him. He is a blur of claes and teeths and they are a beautiful bloody mess beneath him. Someone leaps on him and he tears their throat out before throwing the body at another. He's up and moving, adrenaline pumping through him. He runs and grabs his swords. And he's dancing again, a macabre tango of blood and gore. His wounds are catching up, slowly and surely. His ribs ache, bones cracked. He leaps, and there's someone with the same ferocity on their face. They waltz, weapons clanging and blood spraying. He takes their eye, and their blade sinks into his chest. He crumples, like paper, one of many on this battlefield. A shame. He was taken too soon, you see, and his death did not matter in the end.
