In that case, I will simply observe the posts that may come today and pick out information about the holiday myself. I am developing a compendium on humanity, and given the clear theological implications of the holiday I believe it can help me better understand human religion; which thus far already differs greatly from Alternia's two main established religious / semi-religious followings.¹ My compendium includes, but is not limited to: religion, folklore, customs, art forms, art pieces, celebrity figures, mythological figures, powerful modern figures such as politicians and revolutionaries, and what humans eat and drink. ¹ These being those who bear the sign of the Sufferer, and those who believe in the Dark Carnival.

You keep a diary, bud?

A 'diary' is a crude comparison to a compendium, and not at all equivalent. The closest equivalent to a diary I might have is a journal where I can record my nightly affirmations and observations made throughout my busy hours; however, seeing as I tend to be too busy even for that, a journal/diary is not something I have time for. A compendium is a collection of information put together into a single encyclopedic collection for the purpose of understanding every detail about a certain subject. For example, on my shelf I owe 'A Beginner's Guide to Offworld Fauna: A Compendium of Plantlife from the Planet Thaes" which pertains to the, as you could likely guess, the local fauna of a planet occupied by the Empress' offworld occupational efforts.
