I only half believe in fate. There are key points which seem to remain the same, little pins placed into the fabric of reality. Everything else is entirely changeable. And even a pin can be wiggled loose with enough force. But you must apply the force. And it may not be enough, the pin may not move, but you still have to try. Some will try to lessen their pain by saying it was "fate", so that they do not have to think about the line of purposeful actions that led to this point. I know this was not fate. It was choice. Many people's choices, mostly out of my hands, but still. Choices. If any choice in that tangle had been different, so too would my life. Your life. Their life. And that is what "fate" claims to control. Don't listen to it.
