I oft wonder if I like flowers or not. Is this a simplistic decision for other people? Do they not mull over the implications of what 'liking' something means? Of what encompasses a flower, of if a rose being their preferred choice is egotistical? I consider how the thorns the roses grow are an overdone metaphor, as if the ground will bother taking the critiques of an author who has yet to write a single book. But the classics are classics for a reason. So too, are those never to see the light of day.
