Many people have imposter syndrome, especially surrounding their friendships. The idea that they're tricking their friends into liking them when they truly are not a good friend to have. I have somewhat of the opposite situation to that, where I actively warn everyone but they are too attached to the idea of 'Rose' that despite not even knowing this version of me all too well, they have a loyalty they refuse to let go of to the idea of the person they think I am. In this sense, they are the one with imposter syndrome, only they are seeing me as somebody else. This isn't to say I lack the identity they claim in full, of course I will always be Rose (until I run off to change my name and identity), but it is a lack of understanding how different universial variants can be.
