I find myself quite fond of Tomodachi Life, as it allows me to observe what my rather whimsical squid-like creations get up to, without the discomfort of dwelling too deeply on the self-indulgence behind their creation. On the screen, after all, they are simply what they are meant to be: harmless, eccentric little squid people, living out their absurd and amusing lives beyond my own concern.
