:> Every once in ^ while I’ll re^d ^ monster rom^nce th^t’s ^ctu^lly (mostly) good. Not stunning, but enjoy^ble ^nd over^ll believ^ble. I do feel the p^cing w^s ^ little quick to be re^listic, but eh, th^t’s ^ problem ^ lot of rom^nces h^ve ^nd I guess I c^n somewh^t excuse it ^s the prot^gonist being very lonely. Though person^lly I prefer more independent monsters. <:

𓇋 Sounds pretty good, considering some of the stinkers one can find in romance. It's good to find a mostly good one - I find it frustrating to wade through the majority of the genre, so I stopped reading it early on, but I've heard good things of a few novels in it. I should probably get around to reading them and get over my bias. 𓇋

:> Oh no you thoroughly h^ve ^ point. There IS good rom^ntic poetry, but ^ lot of it is meh or b^d. I find the best rom^ntic poets ^re the most individu^lized; the ones who t^lk ^bout how they specific^lly experience love ^nd why. It m^kes it more interesting. <:

:> Whoops I w^s still poetry-br^ined. But re^lly wh^t I s^id goes for novels too. <:

𓇋 Yeah, I think I agree on that point - something that takes you out of the usual images and metaphors, that really reaches in personally and shows you something different. 𓇋

:> Ex^ctly! I don’t w^nt to re^d ^bout Generic Love Interest #7262, show me someone weird or who ^t le^st h^s unconvention^l interests ^nd conflicts going on. <:

𓇋 Yeah! Show that you know your target of love or hate! Show the uniqueness that draws you to them! 𓇋
