From what I can tell humans don't work like that, it's just the case of heavy timeline bleed! Humans have a lot of genetic variance which is why they all look so different from eachother, except for their like. you know. alternates from different timelines.

Reality is a dumb thing. Even ignoring timelines and how they splinter in so many ways like branches of a tree, *generally* there's an equivalent to you a universe over. Reflections make this obvious, universes where there are small differences, and then the more complicated refractions. You're less likely to run into other you's, at least those that are recognizable. Theoretically infinite, but there can only be so much deviation before they stop being you.
