Well the thing is they're mutants. They evolved rapidly and they have sick powers cause of it. But the world doesn't like mutants they hate them even though the X-Men want to help normal peopple. Also it's an allegory for racism and homophobia.

Always check yarrlist for what to watch them with. You should start with X-Men: First Class then X-Men (2000s) and then truly just watch them in order of release. Spiderman is also technically a mutant so you should also watch the main MCU movies + the Spiderman ones too. The main MCU movies aren't the same but Tony Stark is a fucking catch and a half.
