An excellent question from mechanicChariot with regards to matters of sovereignty. 8y virtue of cultural associ8tion, many presume I exist under the reign of 'Her Imperious Condescension,' 8ut such an assumption is misplaced. I come from the planet 8eforus, a world that, while structurally identical to Alternia, does not possess a green moon in its or8it, solely a pink one at that. 8eforus was not always the unified planet it is known for in comparison to its twin-sister. In earlier epochs, it resem8led a fractured assem8ly of warring factions, each led 8y influential trolls of varying colours vying for dominance through control of trade, territory, and resources. Unlike Alternia's esta8lished matriarchal hierarchy, 8eforus had long existed without a singular Empress, its governance fragmented and often tumultuous. This a8sence was no oversight, 8ut for countless eons, no fuchsia-8looded troll had emerged from the caverns, and without such a caste, the sym8olic and spiritual role of Empress remained vacant for those 'lower' on the spectrum to seize power. Then, in a moment that would 8e etched into myth, the heavens themselves intervened. On a single luminous night, a fuchsia-8looded gru8 descended not from the traditional hatching grounds, 8ut from a meteor, an omen interpreted 8y seers and sages as divine heraldry. Prophecy declared her the first Empress in over ten thousand centuries, a unifying force destined to mend the rifts of a divided world. Thus 8egan the era of Shepard Constern, whose radiance would come to define an age of reconcili8tion and sovereign renewal of the castes who went unchecked for eons prior. #exposition #8eforanlore #8eforus #thesylphisin
