yyyyEs and no. it's not rEfErrEd to as thE sinnoh rEgion, but it's clEarly mEant to bE a past vErsion of it. wEirdly Enough, i'd suggEst finishing diamond, or swapping ovEr to platinum (thE final, rEfinEd vErsion with Extra contEnt), hEartgold or soulsilvEr, thEn playing thE gEnEration 5 gamEs (1 and 2, thE vErsions don't rEally mattEr much) for rEasons i can't Explain without spoiling things, thEn! going to arcEus.

honEstly though, gamE ordEr doEsn't rEaaaally mattEr in most casEs? i think gEnEration 5 is thE only onE that is an outright sEquEl.
