dumb quEstion, but was thE original codE writtEn by an altErnian? i know that whEn altErnian codE is transcribEd into a non altErnian idE, thEy don't takE into account thE typing quirks of thE original programmEr likE our idEs will. just a guEss, but that might havE somEthing to do with it.
