Something is more satisfying about fighting with a baseball bat. It's practical, effective, and gets right to the point. I was trained by a master of swordfighting after she was insulted by me fighting with said bat against her. I know the ins and outs of using one, and have further trained under other martial inclined folks with blades. I. Still prefer my baseball bat.
What an interesting choice of specibus. I'm not sure I've ever encountered someone who actually uses a bat (contrary to popular belief, my eldest is a scythe specialist). May you walk the path of your chosen weapon to its fullest extent.

Spear is a close backup. Likely more powerful but it's overkill. What good is a fight if you finish it in a few minutes
