While they seem basic, I am specifically fascinated by the cultivation patterns of certain species. Fungus-growing ants have been a subject of much of my research. [⏺️📶📈] Aphids are adorable. The microcosm of ants, aphids, and ladybugs is so enticing. I did not know some ants cultivated fungi. For what purpose?
They feed on the fungus. To the point where these types of fungus would not be growing in these areas anymore and thriving without the ants farming them. They even have multiple forms of agriculture.
