anywways before i wwas incredibly rudely cut off by the onslaught of pity on my prevvious post i wwas thinkin our bodies are like a ship of theseus in wway
in short your body constantly replaces its cells ovver time so physically youre not made of the same stuff you wwere swweeps ago but you still feel like the same person and awware youre the same person
Do32 that m3an I am immun3 to thi2 cau23 my arm i2 m3tal and 2o that do32nt happ3n
right yeah that about tracks not really worth getting your sailor hat in a twist over though isnt it doesnt really matter if its the same old ship or not what matters is that it floats dont reallt give a fuck if the me from five years ago isnt in here i gotta get the fuck around cape cod
wwell your arms already been replaced so it still counts plus this doesnt stop your body from changin evvery feww swweeps it growws and replaces dyin cells plus you probably tune that arm up and at some point may need to replace it
i aint gettin my shit twwisted thats just a thought process i found interestin enough to share wwhich youre fuckin wwelcome about for the record
sorry hold on i forgot about this part thank you eridan thats really cool no but seriously let me hit you with this idea lets say youre not technically made out of growing and dying cells anymore or some dumb hypothetical like that would you be in forever stasis
wwell if your body stopped growwin dyin and replacin cells youd be physically static sure basically in stasis as you said but you wwouldnt be completely quote unquote frozen because your mind could still think learn and change ovver time so youd be physically unchanged but mentally evvolving wwhich could count as a reverse vversion of the ship of theseus
they reversed my fucking ship yanking parts out of it until just the space it occupied is left behind what the fuck am i gonna sail on now good talk lets hit the showers
