urrgh. dad was almost *never* present. i leaned a lot on my babysitter, and jude leaned on me.
If it's any consolation, it's entirely possible he *couldn't* stay for long. Jade English was constantly in the crosshairs of a cruel dictator, and I suspect Jake Harley was the same. I'm not sure if that makes any difference, though. You still needed someone, and I'm told your Earth's Roxy Lalonde wasn't the most stable figure.
i appreciate it a lot! ...it's a nice thought that maybe he stayed away to protect us, but i seriously doubt it. he came home to drop off all his stupid trophies all the time, he could've spent that time with us! ...but it's okay. and she wasn't, but.. she still taught me a lot!
