I appreciate the restraint in n9t listing 9ut the mutant6l99d-typical third pers9n pr9n9uns, alth9ugh I d9 wish there were a pr9per alternative f9r th9se 9f us wh9 take pride in 9ur 9ffspectrum status. At present, the 9nly 9pti9ns are t9 misrepresent 9neself entirely, either 6y intenti9nally claiming unkn9wn/hidden status with ļyak 9r staking claim 9n an9ther caste-typical pr9n9un. Anyh9w, I c9mmend y9ur eff9rts t9 detailing Alternian linguistics and I'll 6e f9ll9wing this series cl9sely. Very inf9rmative!

> 0f c0urse! 1 myself use the mutant pr0n0un, and 1t's a shame that 1t's turned 1nt0 a slur as the caste system turned 0ppress1ve aga1nst th0se wh0 d1d n0t f1t 1nt0 1ts c0nf1nes, because 1t 1n1t1ally /was/ just a pr0n0un t0 refer t0 th0se wh0 d1d n0t f1t w1th the rest. 1've always l0ved research1ng, espec1ally languages, and 1t makes me happy t0 kn0w that 0thers f1nd my eff0rts kn0wledgable and enterta1n1ng :]

9f c9urse. I always appreciate the pursuit 9f kn9wledge in all its f9rms, especially when it 9pens the pr9ver6ial fl99r up f9r discussi9ns a69ut s9ci9l9gy and h9w Alternian and 9ef9ran s9cieties relate t9 9ne an9ther. Speaking 9f the mutant pr9n9un, I cann9t claim t9 6e a fan 9f it precisely 6ecause it's 6een turned int9 a slur. I'm n9t even a fan 9f the term "mutant", th9ugh I understand this is an unp9pular 9pini9n amidst Alternians. It's quite a shame th9ugh that every pre-m9dern term used t9 refer t9 tr9lls 9utside 9f the s9cietally accepted "n9rm" either started s9mething der9gat9ry 9r turned der9gat9ry 9ver time. If y9u are up t9 the task, I w9uld 6e greatly interested in a linguistics p9st fr9m y9u in the future a69ut h9w 9ffspectrum-targeted language has changed and shifted, th9ugh 9f c9urse I understand h9w mentally taxing it can 6e t9 entrench 9neself in antimutantism research.

> 1 can d0 my best t0 l00k 1nt0 what 1've g0t 0n hand! 1 can say th0ugh that 1t seems the language fluctuates alm0st 1n cycles, fr0m a per10d 0f n0t valu1ng caste as much (there 1s s0me debated ev1dence that perhaps the neutral pr0n0uns are f0ss1l w0rds that have been rev1ved) t0 0f h1ghly pr10r1t1z1ng 1t, back t0 n0t pay1ng as much m1nd t0 them. we're s0mewhere 1n the sw1ng back t0 caste n0t be1ng as valued, as 1s ev1dent by that pr0n0un underg01ng reclamat10n by many. als0, yes, 1t 1s unf0rtunate that mutant 1s the m0st c0mm0nly-used term n0wadays, but 1t gets the j0b d0ne, and 1t seems 1t as a w0rd 1tself has yet t0 turn 1nt0 s0meth1ng fully der0gat0ry. thankful f0r that, at least!
