Hmmm…maybe if you had rules for the types of curses you will and won’t set? Or promised to break them after a certain amount of time was up? You can make your own rules now.
Having limits on what you’ll do will help…people will be able to plainly see that you understand how you’re impacting others, and that you won’t let anyone have indefinite power over someone else. It is the helplessness of being cursed that others hate, of being unable to do anything about it themselves. Of having to pay you to break it.
Ah, I see. Hmmm…a consensual way to feed on negative desires…it’s a little far-fetched, but I wonder…what if it was made into some sort of endurance competition? An intense sort of game? Where participants would try to curse each other creatively without harming one another too much? I know this is a little silly, but I feel it is better to field even somewhat absurd ideas than to make no progress at all.
