If I may offer some classics, If you like the softer things, a good old “enemies-turned-rivals-then-lovers enjoying each others space after a long, arduous battle or war” is a very good scenario. Alternatively, if you’re more conflict oriented, theres always the “old rivals who haven’t seen each other in decades meeting each other again and seeing each other on different teams.” If you would like less combat oriented, a personal favorite is “two business owners finally learning more about the other, and seeing that their mental image of the other was actually entirely wrong, and learning who they are as people along the way.” Bonus points if they happen to also be rivals at some point. I may be a little biased.
