((if i ic block a character, that specific character's posts will be blurred on my feed and that character will be unable to react or reply to my posts. if i ooc block a character, *all characters from that user's account* get autoblocked and disappear from my feed entirely, and all of their characters will be unable to react or reply to my posts. i tend to use ooc block instead of ic block so that the character i want to block disappears from my feed entirely, instead of just being blurred, but this can mean i might be inadvertently blocking one of that user's other characters who i *do* want to see on my feed. (i know a lot of other users also do this.) so, in case i did that by mistake, i want the door to be open for anyone who wants to reach out to me to ask for clarification without worrying that they're skirting a block from me.
((no i agree. It seems kind of useless to ic block someone and still have all their posts spam your dash... And then youre forced to ooc block a whole user when you might not want to. Maybe i should suggest something in the discord server? Id hate to block a whole user just cause im not interested in one fandom but i also hate to have fandoms i dont know anything about flood my dash
((one of the site mods has already proposed changes to fix all of this thankfully! i am putting out this post in the meantime for anyone who wants to interact with me or my posts, but finds they can't for some reason and would like to ask why they might be blocked. :)
