Purchased a "froyo" or frozen yogurt with my mother today. We hadn't had an opportunity to talk for quite some time, but this was good since I deplore talking in unfruitful efforts to relate over subjects separated by several magnitudes of distance. But suddenly. A car crash. Glass flew everywhere. Both vehicles flipped. Neither one was ours. We hurriedly sprinkled our toppings and pulled our entirely unharmed car into a nearby parking lot. We careened up against the nearest spot, and simply watched. Rubbernecking, as it were. I think at one point we even held hands. No words. But I felt all the better for it. They were wholly unnecessary to describe to one another how we felt. I rather liked that.
