Steam the material to soften it, then you may tentatively resculpt and shape it to its original form by stuffing it with crumpled towels or soft feltlike materials to hold its form while it dries drying. For the bite marks, you may be able use steam to lift the majority of the dents, or use a stiffening spray for structural damage. There will be trace evidences and small defects, but it should become functional. I am afraid there is no easy remedy for envy inspired by those who hear about the former fate of the hat, however, so do keep as much closely guarded.

If you don't mind, say, bringing me just a tiny pinch closer to the problem areas at a scale I can remedy them directly, I could use just a bit of magic. Provided you don't mind the hat being hexed or inexorably enchanted in some way. It would expedite the process, albeit at the cost of some verticality. For a time! Obviously. I would despise the thought of you having to caution yourself overlong on my account. This would not be some pretty girl scenic view sightseeing escapade.
