I did not ask this question, just to preface, but it is a "lateral thinking puzzle" and not really one that you ask as a one off. It's meant to be interrogated by the riddle guesser to the giver of the riddle. The riddle giver responds only in "yes" "No" or "I don't know" responses to questions about the scenario. That's how you can get to the answer. It's a bit of a tricky one!
