Ummm so. Yes I don't know what a lusus is entirely and I realize I'm the lone person to explain our deal. Our culture is very communal. Most that are not outcasts (such as me) belong to flocks, several who serve different roles! There are those who brood and hatch new harpies. We used to have hunters and gatherers in the past but those roles have been phased out in favor of the warriors, caretakers, and profiteers in standard flock structures. Profiteers do what you think they do, they earn resources and currency for the flock, the warriors either protect the flock or enlist in the military, and caretakers fit more nestly roles. All take part in raising hatchlings to figure out their place in the world. Outcasts are separate from all of this, and we, well. We don't follow the structure. Sometimes out fault, most times not. I was the latter, but i make due with this! I am far enough into life that I kind of have a hybrid role of profiteer and warrior, even if it's just to provide for myself. There is also, flightless culture and its differences from ours, and the Hangers that live below the islands, but I can't speak of their ways very well, especially the Hangers, they are um. More like what you'd call bats, but people too. I wish I did know more, but the hanger who is part of our session is pretty recluse.

Oh, these buttons are new. All we had was a cherish button that looked like a feather. I see a heart, a shiny stone, pointy plant and a clover. And I see someone using the pointy plant a lot on my posts. Wait that's hate? Hm

After some looking, I do see that we have a lot of resemblance to a lot of the creatures you call birds! We don't have them in our world, but a lot of their plumages and patterns match ours! I for one have black feathers, nose-beak, and talons! Much like your crows or ravens.

Okay! Having the time to observe and figure things out! Hey everyone! My name is Corveen, and I am a harpy, of the flying class. Crestless, but that's fine, I've made up for it with aurumancy. Over the last few years, technology on our world skyrocketed, which lead to us having computers and other devices. Unfortunately! This also meant we had SNEST. From what I gather our world is still fine, but I ended up a part of the session that was housed on my planet. We're still in the middle of it, part of why my time spent on here is limited, we do more chatting on TwittLing for our more important stuff. With TwittLing also came Chirper, which was like. Our big social media platform. I. Don't know why I see your Chittr instead. It's bittersweet it's cool talking to sky people! I just wanted to keep up on my fav content creators instead and I can't do that now. Oh well.

Gold manipulation is my strong suit but over the years I've learned that I can shape other metal as well! and temporarily transmute gold into other, more sturdy and useful metals. Both are just incredibly taxing, gold serves its purpose well enough, and is plentiful.

Okay there are a LOT of featherless on here. or maybe i'm the only feathered...?
