Ahhh okay that makes more sense. We don't really kill our govt officials much. We get govt benefits if we get "officially married on records" and stuff, but some people do just have ceremonies and call themselves married without getting the government involved. Monogamy probably does seem really weird, but a lotta humans just struggle to juggle multiple relationships, and I'd say it's probably a good thing they know their limits lol. Callin' it a skill issue seems mean but...
