the statistics work out that way for a reason we both know. but even if i were to sneak into, say, my 70s realistically you or i are not getting much further. meanwhile there are people out there cracking 250+ sweeps saying they aren'T "old" when they are at an age that most people below teal could not even fucking dream of reaching.

i understand that they might not be even 20% through their lifespans, but i think most of the time they'VE still lived, what, 4x what i will statistically live when they say that? and i get the whole melancholy and spending so long alone thing, and i would feel pity for that. but the reason most lowbloods can'T even get up there in the numbers is, typically, because they'RE culled. or put to work that kills them. or helmed until we burn out early. most of the ways to "be smart about it" is spend our entire lives either hiding, or in servitude of a highblood. not really a life, is it? so, yeah. i don'T think they have it great either. but, like you said, it'S a matter of scale. and i'D take living a long, full life over dying young.
