I will say it was probably just as hard learning about alternian culture. Some stuff still catches me off guard

i don't think most of it is all that weird, even with timeline differences, but i suppose i am biased ... （´∇｀''）something something, you'll always think the cultures of other planets are weird somehow ?

Exactly. But yeah. Take your time, if you found yourself on the human side of the internet I recommend Wikipedia if you haven't already been there, its not perfect but it usually is right and points to further reading material to look at later if you find something that interests you.
