"LIFE IN THE COMMUNE" Within rural Alternia lies the hidden Commune of Zapati. Life within the commune is self-sufficient, and sustained through its own farms, hivesteads and workshops. Everything, from the hoe, to the sickle, to the rifles and bullets are locally maintained, minimizing all dependency on the oppressive Imperial government, the Hemospectrum, and the highbloods who maintain these systems. Zapati's neighborhoods are not devided by caste, rather, they are organized into cell-based respriteblocks. These are modular living clusters designed for unity, efficiency within the commune and cooperation between trolls, rather then birth right. Within these blocks, trolls of all blood colors live side by side, together as one. Roles are assigned by skill. Demographically, the commune is young, and mixed. Many residents are fugitives, runaways or ideological enemies of the Royal government. Because of the equal opportunities presented in Zapati, many of the residents are lowblooded or off-spectrum individuals, while there is some mid-highblood defectors in the mix, in which they are welcomed with open arms.
