⦓ I had intended to look at human history, but thanks to Wikipedia's random button, I am instead looking at hemoglobins. It is truly fascinating to me to know that human blood is not always the same colour! Even within a single body! Their blood colour depends on factors like oxygen content and body health, and can range from red to brown to a dark purple. Speaking of oxygen content, did you know that Earth ﴾or at least whichever one this Wikipedia exists in﴿ has a lower oxygen content than Alternia? Both trolls and humans can survive just fine in the oxygen contents of the other planets, but a troll on Earth may find themselves a little weaker than usual and occasionally slightly short of breath, while a human on Alternia may experience occasional bouts of mild euphoria or mania in some of the most oxygen-rich areas of Alternia. Isn't that fascinating? ⦔

oh that's very weird... but they are a|iens, so i guess that can make sense! i wonder if air on earth is simi|ar to how thin the air is near mountaintops, due to the a|titude, & if it is, if a tro|| who is used to that kind of thing wou|d be |ess affected if they went to earth

⦓ That seems quite likely! Judging from the numbers and providing I've translated the information correctly Earth's oxygen content does seem to be about as much as ours is at about 2000m above sea level. Isn't that remarkable? ⦔

⦓ It is! This is also why the animals of Earth are significantly smaller, as their bodies have to work under tighter oxygen constraints. ⦔

⦓ How cute! I know there are some species on Alternia that small, but how interesting to learn that that is the norm over there... It is truly fascinating stuff! ⦔
