I am no scientist, and I do NOT have any relation to to ANYONE who has ANYTHING remotely relating to this subject. But, highbloods have a higher tolerance to poison, most medications use "poisons" in different ways. for example: lowbloods have less of a tolerance for some chemicals in most pain killing medicine because it is literally a kind of poison you take in small doses. If for example you were to take some of this poison as a highblood you would be mostly normal whereas a highblood could literally die.

You could always cut down pills into smaller bits and test it out. Medicine is just poison, and enough poison culls anyone. Find out the amount that doesn't cull them.
