Pious Pastries are worth burning for, to be perfectly honest with you. The soft, warm and puffy fried dough, the soft and sweet powdered sugar, and sweet and juicy fruit preserves stuffed inside. It is cranberry season, and as such so is the filling. I am excited for the winterberry season.
