"adoption" may be the easiest word for it since i didn't give birth, and when she came into my care she seemed to be about six months old by my best guess. but she is in fact my biological daughter. i hadnt had much opportunity to talk about it until now. there were exactly two people who would understand, and there was no point in telling them since they already knew everything and musing on it all philosophically would not only have been unproductive but also entirely uninteresting to either one. and then one of them died, and thank fuck he did. now its just me and the man who got stuck in the exact same boat. i hope hes doing alright.
