It's occurred to me having a corpse to...prototype? A sprite isn't actually a requirement outside of the version I had played...nor was summoning the sprite in a ritual.
Not directly required although I have never seen a tier two sprite without a corpse in it and very rarely a tier one.

Well in Sburb a sprite accepts two prototypings which both affect its form. For example at one point I was both an eldritch princess doll and dear sweet departed Jaspers! And thus I took the form of Jaspers in a cute and silly princess hat with tentacles. :3 Now I'm still a cute kitty with tentacles except I am also Rose Lalonde. Hello!
The first part is familiar, the second not so much. So essentially it's a spite made up of three things and not two, at least that's how I'm understanding this. It also seems my question as to who are you from earlier has been answered.
Technically I'm made if two different sprites as well since a single kernel can only accept two prototypings. But a tier-0 or tier-1 sprite can prototype another sprite just fine!
