Let those who harbour hatred within their hearts continue in it, if they must. Do we cast hatred upon a rabid barkbeast, one stricken by affliction beyond its own choosing? No. We do not hate it. We behold it with sorrow. We recognise the sickness that has taken hold, made evident in its actions, in its thoughts, in the very way it moves through the world. Yet even the beast, in its frenzy, bears some dim awareness that it is unwell. These trolls however, wander in a deeper blindness. They do not see the sickness that grips them. They do not know the rot that guides their words and deeds. And so we shall extend our hand once more. For it is not malice alone that binds them, but ignorance and it is that ignorance which refuses their healing.
