I wouldn’t bet on it. And besides, it starts with curiosity. Trying to figure out how thing works and why it does. Then taking what was learned from doing that and from disassembling tech around the house and at least trying to put it back together and applying all of that theoretical knowledge into making something new and learning what works and what doesn’t. It’s just engineer brain. Everything becomes a problem to solve. Everything becomes something to learn.
Buy toys meant for two ages below his. Dumb him down, in a way.
There is no curbing it. But there can be giving him things that are designated for him to dissect and toy with. Otherwise he will wind up disassembling everything he can get his hands on and leave you to play the “did he put it back together right?” game.
