on earth, there are quite a few monastaries that have perpetual stews, as a means of feeding the needy and also something something spiritual enlightenment. i imagine within monastaries it's a little less... yuck

no it's very much a like. human, traditional humble living thing. also probably way less gross when done in large batch rather than like. i dunno personal perpetual stew, which was also really common during medieval times.
