Starting my rants off with old seidge war machines! Thank you to @imperialistHalcyonite For the suggestion. As we all know there are plenty of different war machines that have existed throughout history One fascinating aspect is when the 8attle is already one it can 8e very difficult to take the last city, and to avoid having massive casualties from a heavily fortified location That is where siege machines come in. There are multiple kinds of weapons however I will 8e focusing primarily on one's used to 8reak sieges, a good example in human culture would 8e a 8attering ram, a rather crude design 8ut rather effective depending on the error usually it was just people carrying it then it developed into more of a tool on wheels essentially the RAM at the front was designed to 8reak in through the sealed gate through the repeated use of it slamming it 8ack and forth it would slowly 8ut surely 8reak the latches and the door itself allowing for easy 8reaching of the fortified location. For our own civilization with how advanced we have 8een as of late sage machines have 8ecome a 8it more powerful than that of the ancient humans weapons. With the amount of tools we have and a8ility to voyage into space it make for our tools to 8e much more advanced in 8reaking sieges, to the point that our own tools can 8e used to cause sieges for planets instead of just something as small as a singular city. And that's not even getting started with counter measures used to defeat these siege machines, whether 8y fortifying your own location even further or 8y designing weapons purely with the intention of an intercepting these seed weapons it makes for an interesting tug of war whenever a siege is fallen upon any location in any 8attleground. I do adore seeing sieges finally 8reak open personal as everything finally crum8les down from one singular point!
