I've slept in sopor and cupes and I get the appeal, but yeah, we as a people decided laying down on surfaces (preferably soft) is the best way to rest
A lot of humans also just have negative reactions to being submerged in sopor as it is when produced for trolls anyways, nor do we strictly need it as a species... So I doubt we'll ever see it adopted by a majority of humans in most timelines.
