Mainstream games journalism on Earth is notoriously ass in general. Doing any form of actual good reporting that isn't constantly sucking off the corps that pay you gets you fired, so the mainstream outlets end up purely composed of shills.
Have you heard of the term "Ball and Gun gamers?" It was invented recently, and I think whoever invented that term needs only good things to come to them.
...TIL that this demographic that's been around for decades has a name. It definitely is useful to have a term for the people that buy the annual FIFA/etc. game and do literally nothing else.
And they're the type to claim the loudest that "VIDEO GAMES ARE DYING".
